The Family Room at Montefiore/Einstein Hospital in the Bronx is designed to provide comfort and support to families with children receiving medical care at Montefiore Hospital. Unlike our other family rooms, this Family Room will be open 24/7 and offer sleeping pods, a play space for siblings, a comfortable lounge area, television, laundry, kitchenette, snacks and coffee, and an overall quiet retreat for families to relax and recharge while their child is in treatment. The Family Room will serve as a sanctuary for families during difficult times, offering a welcoming environment where they can rest, recharge, and connect with others who understand their challenges.

Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are staffed by RMH-NY staff and volunteers who are specially trained to offer a listening ear and support to families during their stay. The room is open to all families with a child being served on the 6th, 8th, 9th and 10th floor of CHAM, regardless of their length of stay.

Consistently ranked as one of the best children’s hospitals in the nation, Montefiore’s pediatric oncology division has played a pioneering role as the first and only one in the New York metropolitan area to offer virtually everything needed for the care and treatment of childhood cancers all under one roof including cutting-edge therapies and early-phase clinical trials.
