Meet Nadia

We had the honor of welcoming her and her mom on-stage for a performance at our Volunteer Recognition Dinner. That night they showed us what it truly means to be a Hero of the House.
Nadia suffers from Silver-Russel Syndrome – a rare disorder that limits the growth of her internal organs and spine. Four weeks prior to her performance, Nadia underwent major spine surgery, which extended her spine by 7cm. However, her battle is far from over. Every six months for the next six years, Nadia will travel from her home in Poland for spine surgery that will help her spine and internal organs grow.

While Nadia continues to fight her battle, RMH-NY offers her and her family a supportive and caring environment that allows them to be close to the treatment Nadia needs. #keepingfamiliesclose
