Each summer, we host our annual Ronald McDonald House New York Heroes Volunteer Event to raise funds for our volunteers, or as we like to call them, “Heroes.” These wonderful volunteers donate their time to provide programs that bring laughter, joy and lasting memories for our families to cherish and temporarily relieve them from their daily stresses. This year, although we are unable to have an in-person event, we are in need of Heroes more than ever to focus on the most urgent needs of the House: keeping the families safe and healthy to survive this pandemic, on top of their pediatric cancer. While still providing housing for families, RMH-NY is taking extra steps to ensure as little outside contact to keep them safe, fed and happy. This means providing individually packaged meals to each family, as well as taking our volunteer programs to the screen – virtually! With your help, our volunteers will still be able to provide healthy meals and keep the heart of the House alive with fun activities for families to look forward to.
We are in need of your support more than ever. Please consider making a contribution towards our Heroes Fund, knowing that we need Heroes like you to show your support and help meet the urgent needs of the House during this alarming time. You do not have to be on the front lines to make a big impact on those who need help most.
