What is the Youth Advisory Council?

The Youth Advisory Council brings together high school students from the Tri-State area who are looking for an impactful way to get involved in their community, by giving back to families staying at Ronald McDonald House New York.  As part of the YAC students become Ambassadors of the House by listening to special speakers, running drives and fundraisers within their schools and communities, as well as working together to plan and attend special events for our families. The YAC is a service learning opportunity that aims to give youth a platform to learn, grow and gain valuable experience and skills in non-profit setting.

What is the Youth4Youth Social?

Josh and Alexander founded the Youth for Youth Social last year to bring young people together through food, hospitality, and philanthropy in support of Ronald McDonald House New York.

Josh, a chef and entrepreneur, runs a catering business, develops artisanal food products, and hosts pop-ups. Trained at the Institute of Culinary Education, he balances school with restaurant work and fundraising for causes like RMH-NY.

Alexander, a 15-year-old event planner, excels at organizing meaningful events. A student-athlete at Leman Manhattan Prep, he is also a Billion Oyster Project ambassador and passionate about sustainability.

This year, the Youth for Youth Social will welcome two key members of the Youth Advisory Council, Tucker and Miller. As long-time leaders of the Annual Youth Advisory Council Dinner, they have raised over $100,000 for the House. Now, as seniors, they are passing the torch. In collaboration with Alexander, a fellow Youth Advisory Council member, they will transition the annual YAC Dinner to its new leaders, Alexander and Joshua, ensuring the tradition continues for years to come.
